I commissioned the front cover illustration several weeks back. I've been sitting on it for a while. A few weeks ago, my graphic designer, Jen, provided me with several options for the front cover of the game book. We went back and forth for a bit. After some discussion, we nailed down the front cover for the book. Here you go.
The cover illustration was done by Ben Herrera, who is also providing many other illustrations for the game. Jen is the master of the overall graphic design. Both Ben and Jen have exceeded my expectations in their respective work.
And just for fun, here's the back cover. There are a lot of "placeholders" in there. The final illustrations on the back cover will be in color (and might be different illustrations) and there will be useful, worthwhile text in that big text box rather than a bunch of Latin filler. And there will be something fun on that post-it note.
The graphic design of the covers is intended to hearken both to RPG covers but also look something like a corporate employee manual, keeping in line with what Murders & Acquisitions is about. Dirtied edges. A coffee cup stain circle. Peeling cover corners and water stains. And blood. There is blood in this game.
This reveal has been a VERY long time in coming. It's finally here.
I'm gonna go take a nap.
