There are big announcements coming VERY soon. Before those hit the blog, I want to throw up a public thank-you shout-out to a whole bunch of people.
Here Come the Thank-Yous
As I near the point where I announce the Kickstarter dates for CAPERS and the release the CAPERS Preview Edition (which are both coming VERY soon), I’d like to throw a shout-out to all the people who have helped me get to this point. I designed this game, but I’m not the only one making it a reality. Not by a long shot.
Playtesters: A bunch of people have playtested CAPERS over the course of the past year. Thank you to all my friends who have played the game and provided feedback. Thank you to remote playtesters who got on board for a few sessions. In particular, thank you to Dale and Gilbert, whose playtest groups have been involved every step of the way since day one. Playtest leads, please extend my thanks to your playtest group members.
Contributors: James and Derek, for great design work. Tim and Kevin, for your ongoing, current design work. Owen, for excellent graphic design, current and upcoming. Beth, for wonderful artwork, current and upcoming. Mike, for currently ongoing cartography and forthcoming layout (and for tolerating me constantly babbling about the game in emails, on our podcast, and every time I see you in person). Karen, for your commitment to future editing (Ray, please extend this thank-you on my behalf).
IGDN: The members of the Indie Game Developer Network, for your ongoing support and interest in my little game and for providing such a plethora of information and resources on everything regarding game design and helping me make my games better and putting them in the hands of gamers around the country.
Special Thanks: Anthony, for helping me figure out the mechanics. Jim and Michelle, for your commitment to future Kickstarter help. Shevy, for tolerating me babbling about my games at work. Ando, for always being so damn supportive. Listeners on the NerdBurger Podcast, for tolerating my rambling on the game and getting on board for what’s to come. Listeners and hosts of other podcasts I’ve been on, for coming along for the ride.
NerdBurger Games Fans: For hanging in there and not unsubscribing and waiting patiently for the next game.
People I Missed: To anyone I might have missed above. In particular FB friends and Twitter followers.
You have ALL been instrumental in helping make the second RPG from NerdBurger Games a reality. I offer my heartfelt thanks to all of you. Here’s looking forward to next year and CAPERS becoming a real thing.
There are some BIG announcements coming in the next few weeks. I hope you’re as excited as I am. Stay tuned!
